However, it's video performance doesn't match the Canon HF20 at all. For £250 less we didn't think the HS20 could rival the Canon's colours and motion. Unexpected were the very soft images of the HDC-HS20. Also, the Panasonic HDC-HS20's touch screen is not very accurate for manual adjustments. It also lacks some manual controls and does not allow the use of iA features in Manual Mode. Especially experienced users will probably willingly pay a little more, and get a camcorder with headphone and microphone inputs and accessory shoe instead.
For those who seek a user-oriented camcorder for less, the Panasonic HDC-HS20 will be the camcorder of choice—if you can live with the not so fabulous performance.
