Product Tour
Introduction
The Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20 (£219 MSRP) is Sony's newest ultracompact camcorder, and its name should give you a hint about its key feature—a 3-inch touch-screen LCD. The Bloggie Touch isn't simply an upgrade over last year's Bloggie camcorders from Sony (the MHS-PM5 and MHS-CM5), it's a completely different camcorder with unique features and a stylish design.
| Section | The Good | The Bad |
| Product Tour | Comes in a variety of colours; lens records at a wide angle | Nothing of note |
| Colour & Noise Performance | Better colour accuracy than most ultracompact models | No colour modes or controls |
| Motion & Sharpness Performance | Motion video showed little signs of artefacting | Image wasn't as sharp as we expected to see from a Full HD camcorder. |
| Low Light Performance | Good low light sensitivity and noise levels | Colour accuracy was much worse than in our bright light test |
| Compression & Media | 8GB internal flash memory; 1080p record mode; good built-in editing software | No standard definition record mode; no memory card slot |
| Manual Controls | Face detection is occasionally effective; decent auto white balance system. | No manual controls available; automatic focus is often slow to switch between macro and regular |
| Still Features | Three size options; self-timer; high-quality photos | No flash or manual still image controls |
| Handling & Use | 3-inch LCD; compact and stylish design | Auto screen rotation cannot be turned off; battery is not removable |
| Playback & Connectivity | Built-in USB arm is designed well; HDMI port | No standard AV-out port |
| Audio & Other Features | NTSC output can be useful | No audio controls; built-in mic is poorly placed |
