Panasonic HDC-TM700 Product Specs
The Panasonic HDC-TM700 (MSRP $999) is the hotly anticipated successor to last year’s HDC-TM300—our pick for 2009 camcorder of the year. New features include a 1080/60p record mode, larger lens and LCD, increased pixel count, and improved lens ring control—all of which add up to make a much stronger camcorder than its predecessor. Top this off with a ridiculously-low $999 price tag, and you’re looking at one of the best camcorders to hit the shelves in a long time.
The HDC-TM700’s sister-model, the HDC-HS700, should have similar performance to the TM700, as the main differences between the two camcorders are price, size, and storage media. The HDC-HS700 retails for $1399 and records to a huge, 240GB internal hard drive (as well as having a memory card slot).
